You wanted it...Dany and Jon (or should I say Aegon Targaryen) do it!

With Cersei and Jamie committed incest as routine, and the Targaryens known for same, the question is to what degree is Dany and Jon actually illegal incest.

For years RT + LS = JS was discussed.  The shows creators, Weiss and Benioff even secured Geroge RR Martin's permission to create the show by making this guess.  The issue was hinted at by Bran's visions in Season 6 and confirmed in the last episode of Season 7.

Rhaegar Targaryen, eldest son of the Mad King Aerys, was in love with Lyanna Stark, Ned Stark's sister.  As revealed in Season 7, Rhaegar got is marriage annulled (details to follow) and then secretly married Lyanna, making Jon Snow a legitimate child and the heir to the Iron Throne as the only living male heir.

Of course, this also makes Jon the nephew of Daenerys Targaryen, Rhaegar's sister.  Sexual relations between an Aunt and a Nephew is a form of incest, but is it illegal.  Incest is usually measured by degree of separation.   Cersei and Jamie, as identical twins, have a zero degree separation. The degree of relationships is calculated by counting the number of generations back to a common (cite).  Dany and Jon's relationship is considered a third degree, less than that of parent child and siblings but greater than cousins.

While laws vary, in the United States and the United Kingdom, sex between a Aunt/Nephew is illegal, and can result in jail time.  Also, no legal marriage could occur between Jon and Dany.

This union will clearly be the focus of Season 8 for multiple reasons. While not true spoilers, here are some issues to ponder:

* Dany says she cannot get pregnant, but I suspect that she will be pregnant with Jon's baby.

* Jon will try to break the relationship after Bran tells him about the relationship.

* Jon will be told he is the actual heir to the iron throne, possibly even going to war with Dany.

*Jon gets a dragon.
